With a layer of locally made raspberry jam, topped with a ground almond frangipane, flaked almonds and sugar icing, then embedded in a buttery shortbread crust, this large gluten-free tart is a delight. Modeled after the traditional UK dessert from the classic bakeries of Bakewell, England. Pick up, come in, or have your Raspberry Almond Bakewell shipped (leaving our bakery on Tuesdays and Thursdays, allowing 3–4 days of baking time so that you receive the freshest batch). The sweetness of the raspberry hides all the other flavors, including the raspberry and almond flavors. It was technically good. I won’t order this again until I can have assurances the dominant flavor is not sugary sweetness. I’m disappointed and can’t recommend it to anyone.
This is absolutely the best gluten free dessert I have ever tasted!
